Hi my name is Henry Kuapuu Pali Sanchez, son of Napua Sanchez. I just joined the United States Coast Guard and is proud to be one.
I just graduated from boot camp from Tracen Cape May on May 11th.
I came home right before Mothers' Day for a great Mothers' Day gift.
I could only be home for about 11 days and had to go to my first duty station at Station Dauphin Island Alabama. I thought this place was going to be rough but I came to find out that this place is actually kind of nice and what made me surprised was the people on the island are really nice. I was like "WOW" this place is laid back like home, just that there's no surf.
The temperature here is very hot, the highest it got was 102 Degrees and the humidity is at 96 percent, which is really muggy.
I'm just writing to you guys to ask you guys if you can send me e-mails of how Molokai is doing 'cause I miss home alot and I know my family back home is worried. Pray for me, and keep in contact.
