What were these guys thinking? Entertainment? Fun? Money? Greed? Isn't Las Vegas (not Molokai) the designated place for this type of activity?
What lessons of aloha were they trying to instill? What values were they trying to transmit? Are they positive or negative role models for our children? Think about it!
Signs such as "Save La'au," "A'ole Cruise Ships" and "A'ole Drugs" line our roads. Perhaps another sign should be added to the list: "Save our Native Hawaiian keiki from abuse, alcohol, drugs, gambling, violence, etc…"
In addition, a police officer's job is challenging. It's even more challenging for an officer who was born and raised on Molokai with ties to families and friends serving on island to arrest unlawful citizens. Commendable job, Sgt. O. Satterfield.
Remember: Malama Pono I Na Keiki 'o Molokai for this generation and the next.
Me Ke Aloha Pumehana,
Keakalaulono Makahanaloa
