Dear Molokai Community,

We would like to give out a gracious thanks to everyone who supported our efforts to send eight Molokai High School students to Washington, D.C. with the Close Up program.

We truly appreciate your generous donations, and support towards our fundraisers. We couldn’t have made it without your help.

It helped to enrich our knowledge about our political system, leaders, and current issues going on around our country. From this experience not only did we gain a broader perspective on today’s issues, but we also made close bonds with students from different states.

We learned about their points of views on problems facing our nation.

So not only did we gain this profound knowledge, we gained memories that will last a lifetime.
